Jon is the founder and owner of Arbor Plus, a highly regarded tree care company that has been serving the community since 2012. What began with just an ’81 Volkswagen Rabbit diesel pickup and a small 6×6 trailer has grown into a thriving business known for its top-quality tree services and unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability.
Jon’s passion for arboriculture and his hands-on approach have been the foundation of Arbor Plus’ success. Over the years, he has expanded the company’s fleet, skills, and expertise, earning a reputation for delivering reliable, safe, and environmentally conscious tree care solutions. From tree pruning and removal to stump grinding and land clearing, Jon and his team always prioritize the health of the trees and surrounding ecosystems.
An ISA Certified Arborist with over 20 years of experience, Jon also holds the Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ), Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP) designation, and Utah Commercial Pesticide Applicator certification. He is deeply committed to improving the arboriculture industry in Utah, consistently setting high standards for tree care and safety. His leadership style is grounded in leading by example—ensuring proper maintenance practices while prioritizing safety at every level.
Born and raised in Little Cottonwood Canyon, Jon has always felt a profound connection to nature. This deep-rooted passion for trees and the natural world drives both his professional and personal life. When he’s not working, Jon enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the mountains through splitboarding and mountain biking, activities that keep him connected to the wilderness he works tirelessly to protect.
Schantele is the heart of the office at Arbor Plus, where she expertly manages day-to-day operations, ensuring everything runs efficiently. From answering calls to organizing emails, her attention to detail and commitment to excellence make her a vital part of the team. Originally from Stansbury Park, UT, Schantele brings a local’s sense of community and reliability to everything she does.
Her favorite colors, black and gold, reflect her sleek yet bold style, while her sweet tooth is always satisfied with a little cotton candy. Outside of the office, Schantele prioritizes family. She enjoys spending time with her loved ones and is dedicated to raising her son with care and affection. Whether she’s handling work tasks or taking on her family responsibilities, Schantele approaches everything with a warm heart and a steady hand.

Charles is an ISA Certified Arborist with over a decade of experience in the arboriculture industry, Charles has been providing expert tree care since 2010. He specializes in diagnosing tree health concerns, pruning, removal, and planting. As a Tree Risk Assessment Qualified professional and a Utah Commercial Pesticide Applicator, Charles ensures that his clients receive top-tier guidance on maintaining the safety, health, and longevity of their trees. He is committed to preserving existing trees and selecting the right species to enhance any landscape, working closely with clients to create beautiful, sustainable outdoor spaces.
In addition to his arborist expertise, Charles is an experienced salesperson who helps clients make informed decisions about their tree care needs. His ability to apply his knowledge ensures that the right trees are planted in the right locations, promoting both aesthetic appeal and environmental health.
Outside of his professional life, Charles is a proud father of four—two boys and two girls—and enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children. An avid outdoorsman, he finds balance and inspiration in nature through activities like backcountry skiing, mountain biking, and climbing. His love for adventure and the environment is reflected in both his personal life and his professional work.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jason developed a lifelong passion for nature. He pursued this interest at West Virginia University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resource Management. After graduating, Jason gained valuable hands-on experience with Bartlett Tree Experts, where he became an ISA Certified Arborist in 2015.
In 2016, Jason relocated to Utah to embrace its breathtaking landscapes and active outdoor lifestyle. A passionate skier, biker, camper, and trail runner, he quickly became immersed in the state’s natural beauty, finding endless opportunities to connect with nature through his favorite activities.
Since 2017, Jason has been with Arbor Plus, where he has continued to build on his professional expertise. In addition to his ISA certification, he earned his TRAQ (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification) and CTSP (Certified Treecare Safety Professional) certifications, reflecting his dedication to safety, risk management, and excellence in arboriculture.
Arborist
Born and raised in Parowan, Utah, Taylor’s love for the outdoors began early, as he spent much of his childhood hunting, fishing, and exploring the stunning landscapes of his hometown with his family. This strong connection to nature inspired his career path and continues to shape his personal and professional life. With over six years of hands-on experience in the arboriculture industry, Taylor has spent his entire career at Arbor Plus, where he is deeply committed to caring for trees and is currently working on becoming an ISA Certified Arborist. He approaches each project with a focus on safety, sustainability, and the well-being of the trees under his care.
When he’s not working, Taylor enjoys spending time in the Wasatch Mountains, where he can be found rock climbing, skiing, or simply exploring the outdoors. His commitment to the environment extends beyond his work, as he continues to seek out ways to live an active, nature-focused lifestyle. For Taylor, every tree climbed and every mountain summited is an opportunity to connect with the wild beauty of Utah.
ISA Certified Arborist
Forrest has always felt a deep connection to nature, inspired by the meaning of his name and a lifelong appreciation for trees and the outdoors. This passion led him to earn a Bachelor of Science in Outdoor Recreation, Parks, and Human Ecology from Indiana University. While at university, Forrest became involved in the outdoor program, where he developed a love for backpacking and rock climbing, which fueled his desire to spend as much time as possible exploring the wilderness, particularly the world of vertical environments.
In 2018, Forrest’s passion for climbing trees led him to the field of arboriculture, where he began working at Arbor+. His fascination with trees and his dedication to learning grew even stronger, culminating in his certification as an ISA Certified Arborist in 2021. Today, Forrest continues to combine his love for the outdoors and his expertise in arboriculture, constantly seeking new ways to nurture both trees and his own growth in the field.
Arborist
A Georgia native, born and raised in Atlanta, Brian moved to Utah to embrace a new chapter of his life after earning degrees in Psychology and Marketing from the University of Georgia. Since 2020, he has been a valued member of the Arbor Plus team and is currently working on becoming an ISA Certified Arborist.
Outside of work, Brian is passionate about adventure and the outdoors. He loves exploring Utah’s breathtaking landscapes and engages in a variety of exciting activities such as slacklining, skiing, snowboarding, and riding his onewheel.
Brian has achieved remarkable feats in slacklining, including walking highlines at the top of Lone Peak in the Central Wasatch Mountains and between Castleton and Rectory Towers near Moab. His pursuit of balance and flow continues to fuel his adventurous spirit, driving him to reach new heights both physically and personally.
Commercial Pesticide Applicator
Born and raised in Salt Lake City, McCoy’s curiosity about the natural world began at a young age. As a child, he could often be found flipping over rocks in his parents’ backyard, captivated by the intricate interactions between bugs and plants. This early fascination with nature sparked a lifelong passion for plants and trees, guiding him toward a successful career in the plant industry.
McCoy has gained hands-on experience through a variety of roles, from working alongside his family in their landscaping business to spending time at a local plant nursery. These experiences helped him develop a deep understanding of plant and tree care, and over time, his love for arboriculture grew stronger.
Today, McCoy is a certified Plant Healthcare Technician through the Tree Care Industry Association and holds certification as a Utah Commercial Pesticide Applicator. His next goal is to become an ISA Certified Arborist. In addition to his professional goals, McCoy has a personal mission to “hug every tree” in the state of Utah, driven by his deep appreciation for the natural beauty and importance of trees.
